Net Savant has entered into a joint venture with the Municipal Corporation of Visakhapatnam to design and host the official website of the Corporation under the domain www.VisakhapatnamMunicipalCorporation.org which is a part of Project Saukaryam. The site is also accessible through the urls www.saukaryam.org and www.saukaryam.com.

Project Saukaryam is a comprehensive effort of the Municipal Corporation of Visakhapatnam to streamline and simplify the provision of various civic services through the use Information Technology. The first sub-project will enable the online payment of municipal dues. Similar channels will then be developed for all other payments. The object of this exercise is to provide a trouble free and user friendly facility enabling citizens to deposit their dues with the least possible delay and a minimum of  effort.

Saukaryam thus has the potential to provide significant convenience to the residents of Vizag and this project, which is the first of its kind in the country, is an ideal example of a public-private partnership. Net Savant, the private partner of the Municipal Corporation of Visakhapatnam in this ambitious venture, developed the necessary software entirely in-house. Net Savant has also taken up the responsibility for conceptualising, designing, and hosting the website.

Net Savant intends to enter into similar joint ventures with other large governmental and private organizations.
